The Landmark Theatre in Los Angeles was replete with beautiful ladies as “You’re Not You” held its big premiere last night (October 8).
Ali Larter and Hilary Swank were both all gussied up for the screening, chatting with fans and press as part of their promotional duties.
Meanwhile, Emmy Rossum was a total knockout in a form-fitting little black dress and some seriously sexy smoky eye makeup.
Of the film, the “Shameless” star explained, “It's a movie about friendship, not illness. I think of it as a non-romantic love story. Through her illness, Hilary's character really teaches this young girl how to live and a better way to value herself.”
As for how she chooses her jobs, Rossum noted, “The fear of failing pushes me really hard. So if I think it’s something really easy and I’ll make a nice paycheck, I tend not to do it. Things that make me shake and make my heart beat, I don’t know if I can do that, but I really want to prove to myself that I can. I was very princessy before [Shameless]. But I knew I had that kind of grit in me. I knew I had the nurturing capacity and I knew had abandonment issues, too. So I knew I could throw that all into one big soup pot and keep exploring it. There was enough depth with that character that if it went for years and years, I would have enough to explore.”
