She’s a legend in the music industry so it’s no wonder Janet Jackson's name is on the short list of folks being considered as “X Factor” judges for the upcoming season.
During her interview with Anderson Cooper the “Rhythm Nation” songstress tried her best to be honest while still remaining elusive about the possible gig.
Cooper asked, "You're not currently a judge on 'The X Factor?’” to which Janet nervously fired back, “No, I am not. But that's all I really think I should say."
As a result, it’s heavily rumored that Jackson has indeed accepted an offer to be on the show, but the contract hasn’t been finalized, hence her apprehension in saying anything definitive.
Meanwhile, “X Factor” honcho Simon Cowell told press he had been hoping to give the late Whitney Houston a shot as well. "We were ironically going to meet on Monday and, of course, one of the names we were going to be talking about in that meeting as a possible mentor on the new series of 'X Factor' was going to be Whitney Houston."
