Wyclef Jean: Still President of Haiti Hopeful?

Last week he was declared to be ineligible to run in Haiti’s upcoming Presidential election, but now Wyclef Jean may still have hope.

According to a report, the Fugees rapper is planning to appeal the board of election’s decision, claiming they counted him out before the national electoral dispute office could rule on his residency issues.

Jean tweeted, "Tomorrow our lawyers are appealing the decision of the CEP. We have met all the requirements set by the laws. And the law must be respected."

The election board had decided that Wyclef wasn’t eligible because, although he was born in Haiti, he spends the majority of his time living in New Jersey.
