Will and Jada Smith gave each other a smooch during a press outing in Norway on Thursday (December 10). Will Smith is one of Hollywood's biggest stars and he continues to pump out the movies. Pictures of Will Smith with his wife Jada available at Gossip Center.
Will Smith will join boxer Lennox Lewis and family members among the pallbearers at Muhammad Ali's funeral on Friday (June 10).
The actor, who earned his first Oscar nomination for portraying the sports legend in director Michael Mann's 2001 movie Ali, will be one of the eight people chosen to carry the late boxer and activist's coffin into the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky, ahead of the service, which will feature eulogies from Billy Crystal and former president Bill Clinton.
The actor stars as Deadshot, a highly skilled assassin, in the new comic book movie, which sees a team of incarcerated supervillains team up to undertake a series of dangerous missions in exchange for their freedom.
Given the uproar over the lack of non-white nominees at this year’s Academy Awards, Will Smith has offered his own perspective on the matter.
In a new interview with “Good Morning Britain,” the “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” hunk explains, "We have to understand the spirit of what is happening. This is not about us and them, it's about we. I'm a member of the Academy so this is a problem that we all have to solve collectively. And for me the only reason it's an issue this year is because it feels like a regression. I've been nominated for Academy Awards twice and I've never lost to a white person - I lost once to Denzel Washington and then I lost to Forest Whitaker.”
The 47-year-old actor was hotly tipped to receive a nod for a best actor Academy Award thanks to his role as Dr. Bennet Omalu in drama movie Concussion, but when the nominations were announced last Thursday (January 14) many were left shocked that no black stars featured in any of the lead categories.
While it may seem like it’s a long way off, Summer 2016 is going to be extra fresh and jazzy if Will Smith has anything to do with it.
The “Pursuit of Happyness” stud told Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Radio show, "[DJ Jazzy] Jeff and I actually have never done a full tour. I was always on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air or making a movie. I’m looking this summer to be the first time we go out on a full world tour. I’m terrified.”
