Stepping out to promote his new film “Casa de mi Padre,” Will Ferrell was spotted at Rockefeller Center in New York City today (March 13).
The “Old School” stud was in the house to chat with Matt Lauer on the “Today” show, and of course, hilarity ensued.
Will began by talking about how he was able to pull off the all-Spanish-speaking gig with literally no background in the language.
“I started working with a translator about a month prior to filming. And then it was just literally every day and every night. I started dreaming in Spanish and it was just this intense immersion.”
As for his inspiration to do the project, “I just had this crazy idea for the longest time. I think from watching Telenovelas, which we all love... And, you know, cruising around watching these shows, seeing how arch they were, I thought, ‘That would be something you’ve never seen before.’ It’s played very seriously. Every scene is an award winning performance.”
