After having been remembered by family and close friends at a private funeral the previous day, Whitney Houston was officially laid to rest during a burial service on Sunday (February 19).
The Grammy Award winning singer's body was placed in a plot at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ alongside her father, John Russell Houston, Jr., who passed away back in 2003.
With only a select few family members partaking in the proceedings, Miss Houston's remains arrived at the final resting spot in a golden hearse.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Whitney - who died last week at the age of 48 - was celebrated on Saturday during a ceremony held at New Hope Baptist Church, in Newark.
Mourners paid their final respects with Kevin Costner giving a speech while Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder were among the performers offering songs in the late friend's honor.
