Doing her part to support literacy, Uma Thurman joined the Cat in the Hat for the National Education Association's Read Across America Day at the New York Public Library on Friday (March 1).
The "Kill Bill" star donned a long-sleeved white blouse, gray blazer, and a long flowing peach skirt as she read "The Cat in the Hat" to a crowd of attentive children.
Held to encourage the importance of developing a love of reading at an early age, the annual event also celebrated the birthday of Dr. Seuss.
Speaking about her participation, the 42-year-old actress said, "As a mother of three, with one now a teenager, I’ve seen the benefits of reading to and with my children throughout the span of childhood. Reading has helped develop my children and my family. Spending that time together means so much.”
