Last June he was left severely injured after a Walmart tractor trailer slammed into his chauffeured car, killing his friend James McNair, and now Tracy Morgan has reached a settlement with the discount retailer.
On Wednesday (May 27), the “30 Rock” actor told press he was “grateful the case was resolved amicably. Walmart did right by me and my family, and for my associates and their families.”
What started out titled “Nailed,” has now become the much-anticipated political romantic comedy “Accidental Love,” and Millennium Entertainment has just released a preview trailer. The forthcoming project stars Jessica Biel, Jake Gyllenhaal, James Marsden, Tracy Jordan and Josh Brolin and was originally directed by David O Russell, though he wasn’t the one to complete the movie.
Per the synopsis, “A socially awkward small-town receptionist has a nail accidentally shot into her head by a clumsy workman, eliciting wild sexual urges. The uninsured Joyce goes on a crusade to Washington to fight for the rights of the bizarrely injured. She meets an immoral congressman who takes advantage of her sex drive and capitalizes on her crusade as Joyce heads into her own career in politics.”
Ever since his Mercedes limo was rear-ended by a semi back in June, Tracy Morgan has been fighting to get his life back to normal.
However, the 45-year-old “30 Rock” star may never be able to perform again, based on his debilitating brain injury that has forced him to undergo intense speech, vocational, physical and cognitive therapy on a daily basis.
It’s been a tough five weeks for Tracy Morgan, and thankfully he’s been able to relocate his recovery regimen to his home in Cresskill, New Jersey.
The “30 Rock” star’s son Tracy Jr told press that his dad is “doing good, he’s just resting,” following a horrific car crash that left him with cracked ribs, a severely broken leg and various other injuries.
