Caught in the middle of a fierce battle, photojournalist Tim Hetherington was killed in a besieged Libyan city earlier today (April 20).
The 41-year-old was badly injured and later died after being caught in the middle of an intense fight between Moammar Gaddafi's forces and rebels.
Hetherington was located in the city of Misurata when, as the "Washington Post" reports, Gaddaffi's forces pounded the area with mortars.
Tim rose to fame with his Oscar-nominated documentary "Restrepo," which followed the deployment of a platoon of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan's Korengal Valley
