The final six contestants on the hit show “American Idol” got the opportunity of a lifetime on Wednesday night (April 25) as they performed with the classic band, Queen.
The "Idol" hopefuls started out the evening with a pep talk from band members Roger Taylor and Brian May before following it up with a performance of “We Will Rock You” and “We Are the Champions,” as Stevie Van Zandt of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band watched on from the audience.
After narrowing down the field to thirteen remaining hopefuls, "American Idol" threw a big party on Thursday night (March 1) to celebrate the triumphant contestants left on Season 11 of the hit FOX show.
Joining in on the festivities held at The Grove was lovely co-judge Jennifer Lopez, who looked fabulous in a dress by Randi Rahm paired with Christian Louboutin shoes and H. Stern jewelry.
They share a connection thanks to "American Idol," and past winner Carrie Underwood teamed up with current judge Steven Tyler for an Indiana State Fairgrounds Pepsi Coliseum performance in Indianapolis on Saturday night (February 4).
The duo took the stage to the crowds delight while treating the audience to a set including a rockin' rendition of Carrie's hit song "Before He Cheats" as part of the CMT Crossroads Live From 'Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam' event.
It certainly isn't receiving the reception that he'd hoped for, as Steven Tyler's rendition of the National Anthem has sparked a frenzy of criticism and derisive jokes in the world of Twitter.
The "American Idol" judge belted out a less-than-pleasant version of the Star Spangled Banner prior to kickoff at the AFC Championship Game between the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA on Sunday (January 22).
