Selena Gomez stole the show at the American Music Awards on Sunday night (November 20) by delivering a passionate speech to her fans as she accepted the Female Pop/Rock Artist trophy.
The pop star was not expected to attend the ceremony in Los Angeles and so her arrival on the red carpet was a shock to many, marking her first public appearance since she abandoned her world tour this summer and reportedly checked into rehab to focus on her struggle with autoimmune disorder lupus.
A total of 24 artists feature on the track entitled Hands, which is being released by Interscope Records following the mass shooting in Orlando, Florida, last month (June). Proceeds from the single will be donated to families of the victims of the attack, to help with medical care, counselling and also to educate others on gun control.
Taking a break from her chart-topping music career, Selena Gomez is the star of the Fall 2016 ads from Louis Vuitton.
In the newly-released images, the “Come and Get It” hottie poses up a storm for photographer Bruce Weber, sporting a fur trapper hat with a leather jacket and an LV handbag at the center of the ensemble.
On Saturday (June 11) Christina Grimmie died after being fatally shot during an autograph signing session, and that evening Selena Gomez honored her at her Miami concert.
The “Come and Get It” songstress told the audience, “When she was 14, we met her and my parents and I signed her. One thing about Christina and her family is that she holds her faith so closely to her. And I think it’s not about a religion and it’s not about anything or good deeds. It’s just that she had faith, and I don’t really understand how this really happened, but I would like to dedicate this next song to her.”
