Doing her part to continue helping out in the rebuilding effort, Sandra Bullock returned to Warren Easton Charter High School in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday (August 29).
The Oscar-winning actress was all smiles as she gave a press conference to celebrate the opening of a new health clinic on the campus in honor of the 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.
During a brief speech, the "Blind Side" beauty said, "I have seen nothing but unimaginable kindness, perseverance and hope right in this room here. It gives me great pleasure to be in the company of these people who have actually made the difference. They did the hard work, they are here sitting before you."
Following the press address, Miss Bullock joined local politicians, educators and school backers during a ribbon-cutting ceremony outside the new clinic's doors.
According to AP reports, the free, full-service medical and dental clinic is slated to open sometime this fall - making for a much-needed addition to the city's oldest public school.
