Looking to add to his media presence, Ryan Seacrest is reportedly in talks to become the next co-host of NBC's "Today" show.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the 36-year-old E! guru met with network executives late Tuesday (December 6) to discuss the possibility of him moving to the early morning program to replace Matt Lauer if he chooses not to renew his contract in 2012.
While the negotiations are said to be "preliminary" and "could fall apart any time," Ryan is said to be among "one of NBC's top replacement choices" according to an insider.
Coincidentally, Seacrest's contract with NBCUniversal, which owns E!, expires next year - just around the same time as Lauer's.
