He showed off his Good Samaritan skills in a viral video just weeks ago, but while the clip of him breaking up a New York City street fight turned into an Internet sensation, Ryan Gosling said it left him feeling anything but hero-like.
While chatting about the incident, the "Drive" stud told MTV News, "I'm embarrassed. I should have just kept my nose out of it," proving that he's less than thrilled about the attention he's received from the altercation.
Ryan explained that he had just come from a hot and heavy workout, leaving him revved and ready when he came across the scuffle. "It was sad, because it turns out that I said to the guy, 'Why are you doing this?' He said, 'Well, he tried to steal my painting.' I said, 'How do you know?' and he said, 'Well, he comes here every day and looks at my paintings,' which means the guy was a fan, and so he wanted the painting so bad he had to steal it because he couldn't afford it."
Gosling added of the situation, "So he finally steals the painting and he’s getting his ass kicked by his hero, and then the guy from The Notebook shows up and makes it weirder," adding, “The whole thing, nobody wins. Nobody won."
