Russell Brand: Cashing in on Divorce?

It’s always sad when our favorite married celebrities get divorced, but Russell Brand may be soothing his broken heart with a massive check from Katy Perry.

The “Get Him to The Greek” actor and his soon-to-be-ex-wife reportedly never signed a prenuptial agreement, so it’s likely that half of Perry’s $40 million fortune will go to Brand.

Katy and Russell have been the targets of divorce rumors for months, and after they didn’t spend Christmas together, it seemed inevitable that a split was in the works.

After filing for divorce last week, Russell told press, "I'm doing good. Everything is going to be better next year.”
