Regretting a public joke that went a little too far, Rashida Jones has apologized to John Travolta on her Twitter account today (August 14).
The 36-year-old daughter of legendary music producer Quincy Jones humbly tweeted, "Made a thoughtless comment about John Travolta. I sincerely apologize. Nobody's personal life is my business."
It all started while promoting her movie "Celeste and Jesse Forever." The interview shifted to her thoughts on hip-hop star Frank Ocean, who admitted earlier this summer that his first love was a man.
After writing partner Will McCormack told SpinningPlatters.com, "There needs to be, like, a professional athlete that comes out," Rashida quipped, "And a movie star! It's time...Like John Travolta? Come out! Come on. How many masseurs have to come forward? Let's do this."
The "Parks & Recreation" actress was referring, of course, to the recent sex scandals involving the "Grease" star and several male masseurs, along with a male pilot.
