Paris Hilton: No Felony, No Jail Time

Getting quite the fortunate break, Paris Hilton will bot be heading back to the big house due to her Las Vegas cocaine bust last month.

With her high-powered attorney David Chesnoff working his magic, the former "Simple Life" star will avoid a felony charge in lieu of two misdemeanor counts of drug possession and obstructing an officer.

With prison time no longer an issue, Miss Hilton instead received one year of probation, a $2000 fine, drug education classes and 200 hours of community service.

Warning Paris that any more mess-ups will mean a year behind bars, Clark County District Attorney David Roger told local press, "If she is arrested for anything besides a minor traffic violation she will spend a year in jail. There will be no discussion."

Telling that his client is fully aware of the situation, Chesnoff said, "Ms. Hilton understands the seriousness of the situation and appreciates the chance she is being given. She has to stay out of trouble."
