Nicole Richie Says "Happy Earth Day!"

Stepping out to tend to her motherly duties, Nicole Richie was joined by a friend while escorting daughter Harlow Madden to dance class in Los Angeles on Thursday (April 22).

The dance class outing comes just after Miss Richie was spotted at a pre-Earth Day event the previous night, as she attended a do-it-yourself design session for the Dasani “Green Cap” program for ocean conservancy.

In celebration of Earth Day, which is officially today (April 22), the former "Simple Life" star tweeted, “Happy Earth Day! THE POWER IS YOURS!”

Earth Day is a day designed to "inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment all over the world."

The Earth Day Network, a group that wishes to become the coordinator of Earth Day globally, asserts that Earth Day is now observed on April 22 on virtually every country on Earth.
