First came the feud, now comes the interview. Mariah Carey recently opened up after the “American Idol” confrontation with Barbara Walters during an episode of “Nightline.”
In the clip, which airs on ABC tonight (January 7), the 42-year-old singer revealed that she was concerned for her safety while filming episodes of the Fox singing competition after the infamous fight with Nicki Minaj.
He previously accused Nicki Minaj of being a bad “American Idol” judge and noted that she would have sent Bob Dylan ‘to the cornfield’ if he’d auditioned for her, and now Steven Tyler has seen the error of his words.
The Aerosmith frontman/former “Idol” judge told press he didn’t mean his comments to be hurtful and nothing about it was racist, as she had subsequently indicated.
In an interview with MTV News, the Aerosmith front man criticized the lack of camaraderie among the new "Idol" judges, saying that the relationship between Minaj and Mariah Carey will take the spotlight off of potential talent.
