Busily tweeting from the front row at New York Fashion Week over the past few days, Nicki Minaj's back and forth messaging ended up sparking a new social networking trend.

After a fan posted an outtake from the "Super Bass" hitmaker's fashion shoot featured in Glamour's October issue, Miss Minaj retweeted it while coining the name “fridging” - and a fad was born.

Mimicking the 28-year-old singer's Glamour shot, countless people are now posting pictures of themselves (and even their cats and teddy bears) in their refrigerators - with the "fridging" fad following suit of a previous popular posting phenomenon termed "planking".
