Against all odds, Nicki Minaj has built an entertainment empire through hard work, determination and plenty of attitude, and in the new issue of Glamour magazine she explains how she finds her vision.
The “Super Bass” rapper notes, “I wanted to take my time with [my new album] and show people I was capable of making something people could really relate to. Jay Z has always been a role model because he inspires people [to believe] they can go from selling drugs to being one of the most celebrated businessmen of our time. That’s what I want to do for young girls, to say, ‘It doesn’t matter where you started in your life. You too can become a mogul and anything you want to be.’”
Giving her Instagram followers a little extra thrill, Nicki Minaj posted a pair of perky photos on Sunday (March 1) and Monday (March 2) just as a reminder that she’s staying in top shape despite the winter weather.
The “Anaconda” rapper showed off her toned tummy and killer curves in the social media snaps, along with the caption, “When u finally start living for u & the ppl u love ONLY, life becomes so much easier.”
She loves performing for and connecting with her fans, but sadly Nicki Minaj hit a setback while rehearsing for her upcoming tour in Philadelphia.
Earlier today (February 18) the “Pink Friday” rapper reported that one member of her crew, De’Von Pickett, has been killed while another, Eric Parker, is in critical condition at a local hospital after an altercation at the Che Bar & Grill on Tuesday night (February 17).
The cranky 19-month-old baby sat front row with her famous parents at Pier 94, though neither the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star nor the “Black Skinhead” rapper seemed to be able to calm her down.
There’s a new celebrity romance in Tinseltown, as Nicki Minaj told the world she’s going steady with Meek Mill on Monday (February 2).
The “Super Bass” rapper posted a photograph of herself holding hands with Mr. Mill as he planted a smooch on her cheek. Back in the fall, Nicki and Meek were rumored to be getting close after she split with longtime beau Safaree Samuels.
She loves showing fans all angles of her life, and Nicki Minaj is once again doing a documentary for the MTV Network. Following up her “Nicki Minaj: My Time Now” project from 2010, the “Super Bass” babe will star in “Nicki Minaj: My Time Again” when it hits the airwaves on January 18th.
And in the newly-released trailer, it’s pretty obvious that Nicki’s life has gotten even crazier and more emotional than it was in the first show. The one-minute preview includes footage of Nicki’s backup dancer getting bitten by a snake at the Video Music Awards as well as several wardrobe malfunctions.
