Later this month he’ll emcee the 2015 Academy Awards, and Neil Patrick Harris is deep in the process of making sure he’s up to the task.
While chatting with People, the “How I Met Your Mother” hunk (who has hosted the Emmys twice and Tonys four times) explained, "I've always been keen on diction. And inflection. And pitch. And pace. We reveal a lot about ourselves by the way we communicate verbally. So there's quite a bit of vocal warming up."
Gearing up for the much-anticipated Oscars later this month, a bevy of beautiful people gathered at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on Monday (February 2) for the 87th Annual Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon.
While many of his celebrity peers were celebrating Christmas with friends and family, Neil Patrick Harris was in a state of sorrow.
The “How I Met Your Mother” star took to his Instagram account on Tuesday (December 30) to share that his 92-year-old grandmother Martha Jeanne Harris passed away on Christmas Day. Neil wrote, "My grandma passed away on Thursday night, services are today. Martha Jeanne Harris was 92, lived a long, lovely life. We shared a birthday, 6/15. She'll be missed."
The “How I Met Your Mother” hunk is hosting the big shindig, and he’s asking his fans to spread the word as part of their Christmas festivities. Neil tells the crowd, “Instead of traditional presents, give people the gift of simply telling them to watch me host the Oscars.”
