Neil Patrick Harris Named Tony Awards Host

The Tony Awards just announced the nominees for this year’s trophies, and today they shared their choice for host- Neil Patrick Harris.

The “Doogie Houser MD” actor will handle the emceeing duties at the Beacon Theater, to be broadcast June 12th on CBS.

Of course, Neil is the star of one of the network’s top shows, “How I Met Your Mother,” so it was a natural choice to select him as host.

Furthermore, Harris manned the microphone at the Tony Awards two years ago and by all accounts did a stellar job.
