Miley Cyrus Plans Wardrobe Auction for Charity
She’s always dressed in the latest, cutest trends - and Miley Cyrus has decided to clean out her closet for a good cause.
It was recently announced that the “Last Song” actress will auction off her clothing and accessories on eBay with proceeds to benefit “Get Ur Good On,” a social network aimed at connecting youth with volunteer and service opportunities in and around their communities.
In a video message posted on the “Get Ur Good On” website, Miley says, "For me I get this amazing blessing and opportunity to do this every day and get up on stage and hopefully inspire people with my music and that's something that's really important to me, but so is getting involved in charities."
"There's amazing charities right here in America. You don't have to travel 30 hours ... you don't have to give a billion dollars. It's not about how much or how far, it's about looking at your neighbors and seeing how you can help," Cyrus adds. "This isn't just stuff that's all over the world, it's right here, it's right next to you. It's important to get involved."
The clothing auction is scheduled to take place later this month.
