Thanks to a slew of hit films and endorsements, Jennifer Lawrence has claimed the top spot on Forbe's 2015 list of highest paid actresses.
"The Hunger Games" hottie tops the list with $52 million in earnings last year. Coming in second was "Avengers" actress Scarlett Johansson with $35.5 million. Rounding out the top 3 was comedy star Melissa McCarthy with $23 million.
With a new movie in theaters (Spy) and a clothing collection launch, Melissa McCarthy is a busy gal these days.
The “Bridesmaids” babe told Us Weekly that she’s thrilled that her Seven7 offerings will hit stores in August- "It's kind of the way I work. I think people thought maybe I wasn't serious, but I wanted to do this since I was in grade school. It's what I thought I was going to do for a living, so I take it very seriously and I truly love it."
While the sunny skies and warmer temperatures tried to lure moviegoers away from theaters, “Spy” still managed to post some decent opening weekend numbers.
The brand new flick, starring Melissa McCarthy, Jason Statham, Rose Byrne and Jude Law ended up raking in a respectable $30 million in ticket sales, placing it ahead of last weekend’s top dog “San Andreas,” which came in at #2 with $26.4 million.
Never one to miss out on a swanky affair, the “Bridesmaids” star got all gussied up and smiled up a storm for the fans and shutterbugs gathered outside the Nokia Theatre LA Live ahead of the festivities.
Always up for a challenge, Melissa McCarthy decided to do something about the lack of amazing clothing choices for plus-size ladies.
In a new interview with WWD, the “Bridesmaids” actress explained, “I’ve been every size on the planet. I have experience dressing me as a 6, a 12 and more. And when you go above a size 12, you don’t lose your love of fashion.”
