Margaret Mary Emily Anne Hyra (born November 19, 1961), professionally known as Meg Ryan, is an American film actress whose lead roles in five films - When Harry Met Sally..., Sleepless in Seattle, French Kiss, City of Angels and You've Got Mail.
For anyone alive in the late 1980s, “When Harry Met Sally” was the iconic relationship flick, and last night (April 28) Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan teamed up to honor director Rob Reiner.
The “Analyze This” star and the “Sleepless in Seattle” stunner attended the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s Chaplin Award ceremony in New York City and they both looked thrilled to be back in each other’s company 25 years after they made the movie.
Making her directional debut with an old friend, Meg Ryan is teaming up with Tom Hanks for her new coming-of-age movie entitled, "Ithaca."
The new flick releases as the film adaptation of William Saroyan's classic 1943 novel, "The Human Comedy," and the synopsis states that, "Homer Macauley is left at home in Ithaca, CA, to care for his mother, sister, and little brother, Ulysses, while his older brother fights in World War II."
Going against the grain of previous reports stating that she had left acting in her past, The Hollywood Reporter dished today (October 11) that Meg Ryan will star in a brand new comedy on NBC!
Per the synopsis, the “Sleepless in Seattle” star plays "A sunny, devoted and desperately non-confrontational single mom who decides to return to her New York publishing house where she was once a brilliant editor."
As a testament to how beloved she was during her life, the late Nora Ephron had a literal Who’s Who of Tinseltown personalities at her memorial service yesterday (July 9) in New York City.
Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks both arrived at the event, having worked closely with Ephron on her films “Sleepless in Seattle” and “You’ve Got Mail.” Ryan also starred in “When Harry Met Sally” with Billy Crystal.
