Mariah Carey Visits Sao Paulo, Still in "Idol" Judge Hunt

She’s a worldwide superstar, and yesterday (August 19) Mariah Carey was spotted causing a stir in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The “Always Be My Baby” songstress smiled and waved to fans who had gathered outside her luxurious hotel as she made her exit.

In related news, Mariah is still in negotiations to become a judge on “American Idol” for the upcoming season. A source leaked, "She wants it. She's seen what America's Got Talent has done for [hubby Nick Cannon] and thinks it will be a good career move."

Additionally, Ms. Carey is planning to release a holiday album this winter. It will feature six new songs, as well as holiday favorites and a new mix of “All I Want For Christmas is You.”
