Mariah Carey: Merchandising Mama-To-Be

Things are exciting in the life of Mariah Carey - she and hubby Nick Cannon are having a baby, and she’s also launching a new lifestyle line.

The “Always Be My Baby” songstress is gearing up for her big HSN breakthrough on November 29th when she’ll unveil a new collection of jewelry, footwear, and fragrance.

Carey told press, “I never even used to wear jewelry. I used to wear baby earrings, tiny things. When I started to get into jewelry a little more, Joan was working with HSN, and that’s how I met Mindy Grossman.”

Ms. Grossman added, “[Mariah] is personable, funny and smart and obviously creative and talented, and we just talked about what she is passionate about — shoes, jewelry, fragrance and her music. I said, ‘Why can’t we do it all?’ She is magnetic, and I think this has the opportunity not just to appeal to our existing customer base, but also a lot of new customers.”
