LeBron James' Mom Gets Arrested in Miami

She’s previously made headlines due to her son’s success on the basketball court, but now LeBron James is in the spotlight for quite the undesirable reason.

The mother of the Miami Heat star was reportedly arrested early this morning (April 7) after an altercation at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami, FL.

A spokesperson for the swanky hotel told press, "There was an incident involving Mrs. Gloria James and an employee of our valet parking provider while she was exiting the hotel early Thursday morning."

According to a source, Gloria and a group of friends were leaving a club around 5am when she became irate at the valet because she couldn’t find her keys. When she was told the keys were in her car, Mrs James began swinging her bag at the employee and eventually slapped the man across the face.

Police quickly arrived on the scene, and Gloria may be charged with a misdemeanor.
