Larry King’s Wife: Drug Overdose

Just when things were looking better for Larry King’s marriage, his wife Shawn Southwick overdosed on medication and was rushed to the hospital.

On May 28th, the 50-year-old wife of the CNN broadcaster was found by her father Karl Engemann to be unresponsive.

The 911 call went, "I can't wake her up. She may have overmedicated. She's unconscious. I slap her and I holler at her and she opens her eyes halfway and puts them back down again."

When asked about the possibility of suicide, Engemann replied, "No, no, no. It wouldn't be suicidal. I don't think she did it on purpose. Last night, she seemed confused about what she had taken, the last time she had taken it."
