She has a pretty impressive career, especially for a 17-year-old, and Kylie Jenner says she’s been footing the bill herself for the past three years.
The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star told InStyle UK, “My mom [ Kris Jenner] cut me off financially three years ago so I pay for everything – my car, my gas and food as well as my clothes. There are so many outfits I bought in the past that I just think now are NOT cute – but there’s not very much I can do about it!”
Now that Caitlyn Jenner has unveiled herself to the world, she’s ready to talk about the real reasons behind her split with ex-wife Kris Jenner.
In her Vanity Fair cover story, the newly-transitioned lady (formerly known as Bruce Jenner) confessed that there was a serious power struggle shortly after Kris hit the jackpot with “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” “The first 15 years I felt she needed me more because I was the breadwinner… Then really around [‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’], when that hit and she was running this whole show and getting credit for it and she had her own money, she didn’t need me as much from that standpoint. The relationship was different. I think in a lot of ways she became less tolerant of me. Then I’d get upset and the whole relationship kind of fizzled. A lot of times she wasn’t very nice. People would see how I got mistreated. She controlled the money… all that kind of stuff.”
She has always been one step ahead of the game, and Kris Jenner's latest business move involves securing the trademark for a made-up word.
According to inside sources, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star has filed legal documents to claim the term “momager” as her own, preventing others from using it without her express written permission.
It looks like we’ll be keeping up with our favorite reality TV family for a very long time -- Or, at least for the next four years.
The Kardashians have signed a record-breaking, $100 million contract to stay with E! for another four seasons. It is the network’s highest deal to date. Family matriarch Kris Jenner negotiated the deal, and while they never planned on moving to a different network, a source tells Us Weekly, “she was playing major hardball and threatening to leave.”
