Kris Humphries: Seeking Legal Separation

In response to Kim Kardashian's divorce filing, Kris Humphries is now seeking a legal separation.

According to a rep for Humphries, the NBA player would like to annul the 72-day marriage instead of divorcing - which would clear the record of him ever being married to the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star.

The New York Daily News is reporting that - since Kris is a religious man - he wishes to avoid divorce proceedings since marriage annulments are closely associated with the Catholic Church.

A People magazine source added that Humphries is expected to file the court papers within days.
