Kendra Wilkinson Opens Up About Drug-Ridden Past
Opening up about her struggles growing up, Kendra Wilkinson has divulged details of her past in hopes of steering youngsters away from making the same wrong decisions.
During the taping of her E! True Hollywood Story, the 24-year-old beauty delved into her former drug abuse and suicidal thoughts - telling that she fell into the wrong crowd and started experimenting with cocaine at the young age of 13.
She tells, "All of a sudden they broke out this white stuff. I did it, and I started feeling this big ball of chalk going down my throat and I was like 'what is this ****! Ew this is so gross.'. After that I started feeling pretty good. That was the start of my drug days."
With her mother Patti then admitting her into a psychiatric facility at the age of 15, Kendra tells, "It was crazy in that place. A lot of those kids were suicidal like me and we didn’t see daylight. We weren’t allowed outside. It was basically a jail, but it was a hospital."
Continuing on, the former "Girls Next Door" star tells, "I think it made me worse because in my heart I didn’t want to change. People were forcing me, and that’s something that does not work with me."
Still hooked on illegal substances while a sophomore in high school, Kendra confesses, "I was still on drugs. I met a guy and I ended up running away with him.All throughout sophomore year I lived with this guy and I did drugs for that long. Every day, every minute."
Fortunately enough, Miss Wilkinson was able to straighten out her life - as she's now a healthy mother and married to football player Hank Baskett.
