As the original “American Idol,” Kelly Clarkson has been living in the spotlight for well over a decade, and she couldn’t look cuter with her daughter River Rose on the May 2015 cover of Redbook magazine.
The “My Life Would Suck Without You” songstress explains that unlike many marriages where the kids are the focus, she and husband Brandon Blackstock put each other first.“I always swore ours would not be a relationship where we have to schedule sex. That is never going to happen. We put each other first. I call it the oxygen-mask mentality—take care of yourself first!”
As the very first “American Idol” champion, Kelly Clarkson has been in the public eye for well over a decade, but the recent commentary on her weight hasn’t been easy to weather.
The “My Life Would Suck Without You” songstress was the topic of conversation on “The Mike Gallagher Show” on Friday (April 3) when “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace took a dig at her for her waistline. Gallagher declared, “Have you seen Kelly Clarkson? You know the singer, Kelly Clarkson? Holy cow, did she blow up,” and Wallace replied, “She could stay off the deep dish pizza for a little while.”
Last year she gave birth to her first child, daughter River Rose, and Kelly Clarkson has been teased about her post-baby body ever since.
During her chat on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” the “Stronger” songstress commented on the cruel and insensitive remarks she’s endured from both fans and fellow celebrities- “Well, it hurts your feelings more if it’s someone else that you like. Ya know, if it’s you, you’re just like, ‘Whatever.' I think what hurts my feelings for people is then I’ll have like a meet and greet after a show, and a girl that’s like bigger than me will be in the meet and greet and be like, ‘Oh, god,’ and they’ll say, ‘If they think you’re big, I must be like so fat to them.’”
Stepping out for some promotional duties, Kelly Clarkson paid a visit to “Watch What Happens Live” to chat with Andy Cohen on Thursday night (March 5).
And of course, the “Breakaway” babe wound up playing the Plead the Fifth game during which Cohen asked her if she’d still describe Miley Cyrus as a “Pitchy Stripper,” referring to her tweet during the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards when Cyrus sang “Blurred Lines” with Robin Thicke.
She’s always encouraged women to love their bodies, no matter the size, and Kelly Clarkson put Katie Hopkins in her place after a series of less-than-loving tweets.
Hopkins, a sharp-tongued critic of pretty much everyone, took to Twitter after seeing the “Since You’ve Been Gone” singer on “The Graham Norton Show,” stating, "Jesus, what happened to Kelly Clarkson? Did she eat all of her backing singers? Happily I have wide-screen. #grahamnorton," followed by, "Look chubsters, Kelly Clarkson had a baby a year ago. That is no longer baby weight. That is carrot cake weight. Get over yourselves.”
It’s going to be a super-hot summer thanks to Kelly Clarkson, as she just announced her much-anticipated Piece By Piece tour schedule.
The “My Life Would Suck Without You” songstress told her Facebook fans, “BIG NEWS! I’m going on tour this summer & bringing Pentatonix with me! Get dates & pre-sale info here.” Everything kicks off July 11th in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
With just a month to go until she drops Piece By Piece (on March 3rd), Kelly Clarkson just served up the cover art and list of songs on the way.
Comprised of sixteen tracks, the forthcoming album includes a duet with John Legend on “Run Run Run,” as Kelly previously hinted, "Oh and people also keep asking about the duet on the record. Here's a hint … this wasn't our first time to sing together."
She’s been lying low since giving birth to her daughter River Rose Blackstock seven months ago, and now Kelly Clarkson is making her big return with a new single.
The “Stronger” songstress released “Heartbeat Song” on Sunday (January 11) and posted a photo of her little girl sitting at the mixing board in the recording studio. Kelly captioned the shot, "Hey, River, what are you listening to?" Kelly asked the tiny tot. "It's making you dance!"
She’s thrilled to be celebrating her first Christmas as a mom, and Kelly Clarkson made sure her six-month-old-daughter River Rose got to meet the Man in Red during a recent trip to the mall.
The “Stronger” songstress posted an adorable photo of her baby girl sitting on Santa Claus’ lap via Instagram for all of her fans to see. Kelly added the caption, "River Rose hangin' with Santa Claus for the first time! She LOVED him ha!"
