Getting ready to show off her latest work, Keira Knightley hit the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of “Anna Karenina” on Wednesday evening (November 14).
The 27 year-old English beauty looked angelic in a mint green and floral embellished gown as she posed for photographers at the ArcLight Hollywood Theatre venue.
Speaking of her upcoming drama, Keira opened up to Jay Leno about the dynamics of her “dark” character during an appearance on "The Tonight Show" the previous evening.
“I first read the novel when I was about 19 and my memory of it is just this beautiful sweeping romance and her as being this kind of innocent character,” Knightley said, adding, “[Then] I went back to it just before we were about to shoot the movie last year and read it again and thought she’s much darker.”
Set to open in select theaters this Friday (November 16), the Joe Wright directed drama is officially described as follows: “Set in late-19th-century Russia high-society, the aristocrat Anna Karenina enters into a life-changing affair with the affluent Count Vronsky.”
