Katy Perry Rocks Italy, Signs on for SNL Opener

She’s in the midst of a worldwide promotional tour for her new album Teenage Dream, and last night (September 7) Katy Perry was spotted showing some love to her Italian fans.

The “Hot N Cold” singer stopped to pose for pictures and sign autographs as she left the “X Factor” studios in Milan following a performance on the hit show.

In related news, Katy will be kicking off the new season of “Saturday Night Live” as the musical guest on the season premiere, along with host Amy Poehler.

Miss Perry tweeted, "OKAY! My BIG surprise is I'm opening the season of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE on Sept 25 W/SNL Alum Amy Poehler!!!"

She added, "Dear Amy Poehler can I please be your braced faced neighbor friend that hangs out with you & RICKKKKK!"
