Katy Perry: ASCAP Awards Night

Glamming up an industry event, Katy Perry was spotted at the 27th Annual ASCAP POP Music Awards in Hollywood last night (April 21).

The “Hot N Cold” singer showed up at the Grand Ballroom of the Renaissance Hotel sporting a pink and grey dress teamed with a pair of strappy black heels.

Over this past weekend, Katy enjoyed the sights, sounds, and alcoholic refreshments of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival- so much so that she ended up having a few too many and asking Lindsay Lohan to be a bridesmaid in her wedding to Russell Brand later this year.

An eyewitness told press, "Katy was having a brilliant time, partying with a group of mates after deciding to have a weekend without her fiancé Russell. After watching loads of different bands, Katy headed to the VIP area, where she was chatting to Lindsay. Both the girls were having a right laugh, talking about Katy's wedding and their plans over the summer."

"At one point, Katy joked that Lindsay would be her perfect maid of honor. Katy was in high spirits and obviously just messing around. But before she knew it, Lindsay was telling everyone she couldn't wait to be part of the ceremony and as maid of honor it was her job to sort out the hen night. Katy didn't know what to say or where to look. It started to get embarrassing for everyone. She obviously didn't mean it as a serious invitation."
