Looking radiant in a red knee length red velvet dress and matching heels, Katy Perry made a glamorous entrance to the Hollywood premiere of her upcoming film “Katy Perry: Part of Me” on Tuesday evening (June 26).
The pop superstar joined up with co-directors Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz as she made her way down the bright pink personalized carpet while later emerging from a giant tub of popcorn onstage as she delved into a surprise performance for the massive crowd gathered at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre venue.
With stars such as Selena Gomez, Victoria Justice, Carly Rae Jepsen, Yvonne Strahovski and Caroline D'Amore all on hand offering their support, the “Last Friday Night” songstress took to her Twitter page prior to the premiere's kickoff, writing, “24 hrs until my ♡HOLLYWOOD♡ #KP3D PREMIERE! Tune in 2morrow to watch the red carpet & my live performance at http://twitter.com/Pepsi @ 6:00p PT.”
The fun-loving documentary chronicles both Miss Perry’s on and off stage life and, in a recent interview with The Associated Press, Katy said that opening up about her failing marriage with Russell Brand was a positive for the film, explaining, “I think it was important for me to leave some of the more difficult things in the film so that it wasn't just a narcissistic fanfare film about how great I am. Because I'm not all great. There might be moments of greatness but they are very hard-worked (sic). I think it was important to show that there are obstacles and problems in people's lives and it's OK if you have them. You just have to overcome them."
