Paying a visit to NBC Studios for a television appearance, Katie Holmes was one of the celebrity guests on Tuesday's (August 2) episode of "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."
Dressed in a top soil brown top with red leather pants, the "Jack n' Jill" actress was asked about the birthday party she threw for husband Tom Cruise just last month.
Of the soiree, which was blown out of proportion by the media, Katie told, "His birthday is in July and we were in Florida and I was really excited and I threw him a little kind of dinner party. Then it turned out that it was in the press, it was like this huge blowout, but it was really only like ten people, but I was like, okay, that's fine."
Saying that he heard a much different story, Jay then said, "I heard it was a huge, giant, people were flying in from all over, people coming in on ziplines..."
The 32-year-old was also questioned about what scares her in real life to which she interestingly revealed, "I'm scared of raccoons."
Surprised by Miss Holmes' response, Leno said, "Raccoons? Well you picked the wrong city young lady to live in. Why raccoons? Is it the mask? Do you think they're criminals? What is it?"
Explaining herself, Katie replied, "Well, you know everybody always says like spider or a dog and how they're more afraid of you than you are of them and I don't find that. I was recently sitting outside and this raccoon comes right up, like right there, and I'm expecting it to be more afraid of me and I'm staring at it and it's staring right back like he's gonna kick my butt and I didn't know what to do so I just stood up and barked at it and he just ran away," after which Jay chimed in, "He's like, this lady's crazy."
