Flying solo for a round of retail therapy, Katie Holmes was spotted out and about in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon (December 29).

The “Dawson’s Creek” darling looked to be in good spirits as she drove her Mini Cooper past a swarm of shutterbugs en route to a trendy boutique.

And it sounds like Katie’s daughter Suri got some special treatment during a Christmas skating outing in New York City.

Proud papa Tom Cruise rented out the Rockefeller Center Skating Rink’s Igloo VIP area for $5000 to ensure that no one bothered them during their family fun night last week.

Suri also scored some seriously swanky gifts for Christmas. An insider told press, "Suri is very mature and knows what she wants. Tom and Katie love the holidays and always go overboard … they are buying Suri absolutely everything she asks for."
