Ready to prove her athletic prowess to the world, Kate Gosselin strapped on her running shoes to compete in the Zappos.com Rock N Roll Las Vegas Marathon on Sunday (December 4).
Clad in a stylish running outfit, the former TLC reality star mom joined a record 44,000 competitors as she took to the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino venue while running her heart out to benefit The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation Of America.
Tweeting about the undertaking throughout the day, Miss Gosselin first wrote, "Woke up&realized its M DAY!...Some fear but mostly excitement! I'm carbed up&almost rdy.....tired of thinking @ it...so let's run already!"
The 36-year-old continued, "Eating lunch... Tiny blueberry scone, apple bran muffin and mac&cheese. Hoping for fuel from these fine carby foods! :)"
Just before race time, Kate added in nervous anticipation, "I'm making the walk....of death, lol! Here I go! Game on!!!!"
And while she was commendably able to complete the event, Gosselin ended up being no match for the marathon's eventual winner, as Zsofia Erdelyi of Hungary grabbed first in a blazing time of 2:28.58.
