Photographer Chasing Justin Bieber May Be Charged

Law enforcement may have cited Justin Bieber first in the high speed getaway to escape the paparazzi, but Los Angeles prosecutors are bearing down on one paparazzo for the reckless behavior that may have led to the citation.

A spokesman for the L.A. City Attorney, Frank Mateljan, told TMZ that its office is reviewing the case to determine if criminal charges should be filed. California Highway Patrol recommended the photographer be prosecuted, according to law enforcement sources.

The unnamed paparazzo at issue could be charged with reckless endangerment for the chase that bystanders said reached around 100mph. If convicted, the zealous photographer could face up to six months for each misdemeanor.

It is unknown if the photographer to be charged is the same one that the teen idol filed a harassment complaint against immediately following his citation.

The 18-year-old pop star is currently in Australia for his "Believe" tour and can be seen on the cover of the August issue of Rolling Stone Magazine with the headline "Hot Ready Legal."
