Back in 2013 he announced he’d be producing a film adaptation of the comic book “The Sandman” and two years later Joseph Gordon-Levitt is ready with an update.
While chatting with press at the 2015 Guys’ Choice Awards over the weekend, the “Dark Knight Rises” hunk told MTV News, “It’s slow but steady. It’s a really complicated adaptation because those comics, they’re brilliant, but they’re not written as a whole. It’s not like Watchmen, which is a graphic novel that has a beginning, middle, and end. Sandman was written over the course of whatever, I forget exactly, six or seven years. One at a time. One little 20-page issue at a time. And to try to take that and make it into something that’s a feature film — a movie that has a beginning, middle, and end — is complicated.”
In the photo, the “Dark Knight Rises” hunk and the “Divergent” dame appear to be strolling in front of The White House in Washington DC while engaged in a casual chat. Joseph plays the lead character Edward Snowden while Woodley is cast as his girlfriend Lindsay Mills.
He’s beginning 2015 as a married man, as Joseph Gordon-Levitt got hitched a few days before Christmas. The “Dark Knight Rises” hunk said “I Do” with his girlfriend, Fellow Robots co-founder and CEO Tasha McCauley on December 20th, and they invited a small group of family and friends to join them at the ceremony at their home.
Previously, Joseph told press that he’s not a fan of broadcasting everything about his private life in the media.
