The “No Such Thing” crooner explained why he wore Tibetan robes that covered his whole body- “I think part of the idea was hiding out. Sometimes, if you don’t see the person you recognize in the mirror, then you’re free from your own punishment. It’s hard to explain. You’re free from your own criticism. If you don’t recognize the person you see in the mirror, then you’re free from self-persecution.”
They’ve been on and off for awhile now and it seems John Mayer and Katy Perry have reunited once again to give their romance another shot.

During his interview with Ronan Farrow for MSNBC, the “Gravity” crooner commented on Swift’s battle with Spotify. “I think that’s cool. I think that’s really cool. Artists need the person with the loudest voice to speak for them… The cynical could say, ‘You’re helping yourself.’ But it’s trickle down. You’re not saying, ‘I want this just for me.’ I think that’s a really cool thing for a musician to do. Like two percent of the music industry has 80 percent of all the media [coverage]. There’s like four people, and if any of those four people say, ‘I want to speak for those people who would just never make this a story’ — The only reason we’re talking about Taylor Swift taking Spotify on is because she’s Taylor Swift, and that’s great.”

He’s always been critical of the way the media portrays celebrities, so it’s actually pretty funny that John Mayer decided to retouch his own Instagram photograph on Instagram.
The “No Such Thing” singer posted the image of himself and friend Ricky Van Veen (Allison Williams’ fiancé), using several filters to make their faces a smooth as silk. John added the caption, “So good to see my friend Ricky again. It’s been awhile,” and they both look like aliens.
