The ABC presenter took to his Twitter account to tell his millions of followers the good news on Monday morning (March 7) - "I am hosting the #Emmys on Sunday Sept 18. Until then, have a great summer."
This week David Letterman will retire from “The Late Show,” and fellow late night comedian Jimmy Kimmel shared some kind words during Tuesday’s (May 19) “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
During his monologue, Kimmel explained, “I watched the show every night. I never missed it. And little did I know that many years and many pounds later, that watching that show was a great education for me. The reason I have this show is because the executives at ABC saw me when I was a guest on Dave’s show, and hired me to host this show.”
He’s well-dressed, successful and has a smoking hot wife, so it’s safe to say that Jimmy Kimmel has figured out a few things along the way. The “Jimmy Kimmel Live” host chatted with Glamour magazine for their February 2015 issue, and his input is invaluable to men the world over.
According to Kimmel, “Being a modern guy means we have to do a little bit of everything. More is required of men nowadays because we’ve cast these old stereotypes aside. For instance, it is no longer OK to sit in the waiting room and smoke cigars while your wife is having a baby. When my daughter was born seven months ago, I was right there, being patronized by the doctor and nurses who pretended I was being helpful as I held a leg and said encouraging things. My wife [Molly McNearney, co–head writer of Jimmy Kimmel Live!] didn’t necessarily want me in the delivery room; she was concerned that our relationship would never be the same if I saw a human coming out of her. But it’s a pretty great thing to watch. And weirdly, it’s not that disgusting when it’s your own kid.”
During Monday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” the hilarious host described this year’s hijinks, beginning with the “Office” hunk and the “Adjustment Bureau” babe wrapping up his SUV with a tag that read “From Your Secret Santa.”
While the ladies always tend to get in on the magazine fun, Esquire decided to give a few fellas a shot at glory with their Mentoring Issue for October 2014.
“Palo Alto” star James Franco explained that he admires Andy Warhol. “I look at Andy Warhol, who did film, he painted, he did photography, he produced music—to me that is a model where I can just say, ‘Yeah, why not?’”
