Sure, Miley Cyrus had a huge hit with “Party in the USA,” but the song’s writer Jessie J also enjoyed plenty of perks as well. In her new interview with Glamour magazine, the “Price Tag” hitmaker noted that the 2009 ditty actually paid off big time.
"You’ve got to write songs, that’s where the money is, being an artist. Party in the USA paid my rent for, like, three years. Actually it was longer than that. That's where I get most of my money. I write songs. I'm a singer. I love doing endorsements and stuff, but that's all added on."
Showing off her posing prowess, a Prada-clad Jessie J is featured on the front of Glamour UK's January 2015 issue.
The “Bang Bang” hitmaker flashes some flesh as she chats about the role of ambition in her massively-successful career. Jessie explains, "You get one life. You can't be like, 'I haven't got a d*ck so I'll sit back and be quiet and let everyone else do the work.' I'm good at what I do, so I should enjoy every aspect of it."

Ariana Grande showed up at the Xcel Energy Center to get in on the action at the 101.3 KDWB Jingle Ball 2014 concert, and she had a blast catching up with Jessie J backstage. Also in the house were big names like Rita Ora, Iggy Azalea and Meghan Trainor, who didn’t let her newcomer status keep her from rocking out.
She’s lucky in love with songwriter Luke Evans and Jessie J can’t help but tell everyone how happy she is.
When speaking to ITV’s “Loose Women,” the “Bang Bang” singer shared, “He’s an artist from New Orleans. I met him in New York. He’s amazing. He’s a singer-songwriter. It was in the papers that he’s a rapper - he’s not a rapper, he’s a singer. He’s incredible. I’m really happy.”
