It seems Jessica Simpson is loving every second of being a new mother and is well on her way to recovery after giving birth.
The "Fashion Star" mentor welcomed her 9lbs., 13oz. daughter, Maxwell Drew, on Tuesday morning (May 1) in Los Angeles and a source tells Us Weekly, "Jessica is doing great and really happy, she's feeling well and relieved the baby is healthy."
Although everyone is itching to see Maxwell for the first time, the source said that it may be awhile before that happens, telling, "The baby is beautiful!, but we shouldn't get our hopes up that we'll see her anytime soon."
"The family will be dedicating the rest of this week and most of next week to helping Jess recuperate and take care of the baby," the insider adds of the first time parents. "Eric is super happy as well."
Another proud Simpson is Jessica's dad, Joe, who now has two grandchildren while tweeting about the new arrival, "Proud PaPaJoe !! Beautiful baby girl... What a miracle!"
And though 31-year-old Miss Simpson has her hands full with diapers and baby bottles, she's still making time to stay up-to-date with her fashion reality show, of which she messaged, "It breaks my heart to see @TheRBCollection go home tonight. Do you think this was the right choice? #FashionStar".
