Days after rumors of a troubled relationship started making headlines, it has been confirmed that Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy have broken up.

Following a up and down coupledom, a rep has told People magazine that the "Ghost Whisperer" co-stars decided to pull the plug - offering no further details.

The twosome began their romance at the start of 2009 shortly after Miss Love Hewitt broke off her engagement with her former beau, Ross McCall.

Jen previously noted that she's in no hurry for a long-term commitment, telling press, “If it’s going to happen, it will happen."
