Jennifer Lopez: No "American Idol" Softie

She’s one of the most successful singers in the music industry, and rumor has it as a new judge Jennifer Lopez is not going easy on the hopeful “American Idol” contestants.

The “Ain’t It Funny” songstress has described her judging style as “tough, easy and fair,” adding, “I really want to put them through the wringer in the sense that I don’t want to let anybody really great go because they’re nervous or whatever and not get to see what they could’ve been.”

And as for the hearsay suggesting there is tension brewing between host Ryan Seacrest and Lopez, a source close to the situation denies any feud.

The insider told press, "I don't know where they get this stuff! They've barely started work but are getting along great. They actually really like each other."
