Tending to her motherly obligations, Jennifer Garner was spotted out on a school run in Santa Monica on Friday (April 16).

Dressed casually, the "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" actress scooped daughter Violet out of the back seat before toting her inside for the day's lessons.

As for Miss Garner's new film “Butter,” Jen will have big name costars like Olivia Wilde, Ashley Greene, Alicia Silverstone, Ty Burrell and Hugh Jackman.

A synopsis via IMDB describes the flick as "a comedy set in the Midwest U.S., where an adopted girl discovers her talent for butter carving and finds herself pitted against an ambitious local woman in their town's annual contest."
